Shortly before 11.30pm on Friday 10 April, highway patrol officers from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command were conducting stationary speed enforcement on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac, west of Forster, when they stopped a car.

It’s alleged the Toyota Kluger was travelling at approximately 128km/h in a 100km/h sign-posted zone.

The driver, a 38-year-old Greenacre woman, had four children travelling in the vehicle at the time.

Further checks also revealed the vehicle’s registration has been cancelled since December 2014.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, police located more than $71,000 inside a suitcase in the boot.

The woman was arrested and taken to Taree Police Station, where she was charged with goods in custody and granted conditional bail to appear before Taree Local Court on Tuesday 5 May 2015.
