Every year the Myall Community Arts and Crafts Centre, the Lioness Club and the Wednesday Craft Group contribute presents to the Annual Salvation Army Christmas Appeal.
It began in December 1996 when it was known as the Salvation Army Christmas Toy Appeal.
During this appeal the local community are actively encouraged to donate gifts.
A recent initiative of the Salvation Army is to deliver the gifts to a Distribution Centre where recipients are given vouchers to enable them to walk around and choose their family gifts.
Howard Mole from the Salvation Army will take delivery of the gifts at a future meeting of the Myall Community Arts and Crafts Centre.
The entire community is encouraged to donate a gift that can be suitable for a child, teenager, mother or father.
Donations can be made until the first week of November at the Myall Community Arts and Crafts Centre shop.
Gifts need to be unwrapped but donations of wrapping paper are also welcome.
