Anticipation is building for two Myall Coast residents last week after discovering they had scored a trip to Hawaii with the Channel Seven Sunrise crew.

Neryl Grehan of Tea Gardens said she was sitting with a cup of tea watching Sunrise when they announced the trip was available for viewers.
“I called the number on the screen and got through then I realised I had no one to go with so was about to hang up,” she said.
She then thought of her long-time friend Norma Seggie from Hawks Nest who she had travelled with previously.
“I called her on my mobile with the other phone also to my ear and said – get your passport ready Norma, we’re going to Hawaii.”

A full plane load of viewers were set to fly to Hawaii on the weekend where they would enjoy a week in tropical destination and also attend the wedding of some Perth viewers who won a Hawaiian wedding through Sunrise.
“It’s going to be amazing to meet up with a plane full of people we’ve never met and we’ll all be so excited,” Neryl said.
The pair has never been to Hawaii before and can’t believe their luck at getting a spot on the plane.
“It was meant to be.”
They will be staying at the Hilton Hawaii and will enjoy a cocktail party with Kochie and Sam from Sunrise as well as visiting Pearl Harbour and taking part in a traditional Ali’i Luau.
Norma said she’s anticipating “The experience, the sunshine and the fun”.
