280 boats paddled the Myall river and two records for the day were broken. Firstly was the attendance and entries. Second was the 14 minutes shaved from the 47 km course by one of the paddlers.

Three courses were available for competitors, being 47 km, 27 km and 12km.myall river classic 2014
Staggering the race starts of the three different categories proved for a very spectacular and exciting finish line.
The day saw some fast times all round due to the 9:00am start and high tide being at 11:20am.
Some blisteringly fast runs up the river with the tide, and a fast last-half return when the tide changed.
The Myall River Classic has been steadily growing in popularity and participation since Mike Eggleton with ‘Just Paddlers Inc’ conceived the idea some 10 years ago.
New organisers PaddleNSW had big shoes to fill, however it was a great success judging by the day and the level of community participation.
