Police are appealing for information after two guns, ammunition, and a boat were stolen from a rural property in Swan Bay, near Karuah Port Stephens overnight.
Between 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday 22 October 2015) and 6.30am this morning, two firearms (a .22 rifle and a shotgun), ammunition, a boat, and other items were stolen from a rural property on Swan Bay Road.
The residents were not home at the time of the incident.
Police from Port Stephens Local Area Command were contacted and the scene was examined by specialist forensic officers.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
Police have released images of the distinctive boat that was stolen and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The boat is described as an army green coloured, ‘duraplast,’ two-seater boat with an outboard motor. The trailer was not stolen with the boat.
