EIGHTEEN year old Sarah Aldis from Bulahdelah Central School recently competed in the Hunter Valley Grammar School Equestrian Interschool Championships.
Throughout the day, Sarah achieved a first place and two 4th places which was an extraordinary result for the local girl.
Sarah told Myall Coast News that the best thing she likes about the competitions and riding is simply being able to spend time with her horse.
“Teddy (Midnight Sultan) is a 6 year old Clydie X that we purchased as an unbroken rising two year old,” she said.
Sarah regularly competes at local dressage competitions.
Adam Vellere is Sarah’s dressage riding instructor who has helped improve her riding and continues to do so.
Some of Sarahs other recent achievements were, Reserve Champion Ridden Arabian at Hunter Valley Arabian All Breeds Show, Champion Handler, Champion Ridden Horse & Champion Rider at the Hunter Valley Arabians Summer Show, Reserve Champion Ridden Heavy Horse at Maitland Show, Youth Prep Champion at Alexander Park Dressage, and a host of others.
Sarah’s mum and dad Julie and Andrew Aldis have supported her every step of the way, “My husband and I are so very proud of Sarahs achievement’s,” Julie said.
