Bookings are now open for summer swimming lessons in Tea Gardens and Stroud.
For more than 40 years Sport and Recreation has delivered community-based learn to swim lessons throughout NSW.
Lessons are available for infants, pre-schoolers and primary school children.
Sport and Recreation Project Officer Paul Kelly said Swim & Survive is based on the Royal Life Saving Society’s national industry standard program and is taught by qualified instructors.
“Australians love the water and love swimming and the Swim & Survive program teaches vital water safety and swimming skills,” said Mr Kelly.
“Swimming is not only fun and great exercise it is also a potentially life-saving skill,” he said.
Run by the Office of Sport – Sport and Recreation’s Swim & Survive is an intensive program, with most classes held over eight or nine consecutive days.
“Kids and parents will notice the results that come from the extra practice of a daily program,” Mr Kelly said.
Upcoming Swim & Survive classes will be held at Tea Gardens Pool, Monday 12 – Thursday 22 January 2015.
Stroud Pool, Monday 12 – Thursday 22 January 2015.
