Enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting at the University of New England, Brooke is hoping her three year degree will lead to an internship in accountancy.

Brooke, who recently moved into student accommodation on campus at Armidale, is looking forward to the new experiences university will bring.

“I’m most looking forward to being independent, meeting new people and starting the next step in my life,” she said.

“I’m also a little worried about keeping up with the workload and being away from home.”

To help transition to University, Brooke attended Orientation Week activities which included introductory lectures, information sessions and social events.

Brooke said her interest in accounting came from studying finance in the Business Studies course at school.

For parent’s Julie and Andrew, things will be a little quieter at home with Brooke’s older sister Sarah also leaving this week to continue her studies. NOTA_KRSL_lowres_250216

Sarah will be commencing her second year at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga where she is studying a Bachelor of Equine Science.

Andrew said he is very happy the girls are furthering their education and pursuing their interests.

“I’m so proud of both of them,” he said.
