Strike Force Rossann formed to investigate William Tyrell’s disappearance – Kendall

Strike Force Rosann has been formed to investigate the disappearance of a three-year-old boy on the Mid-North Coastwilliam 2

Searchers have been searching bushland at Kendall for William Tyrell, aged three, since he went missing about 10.30am on Friday 12 September from the front yard of his grandmother’s home on Benaroon Drive.

Since that time, hundreds of people have been involved in the search for the missing child,. who was wearing a Spideman suit when he was last seen.

Operation Commander, Superintendent Paul Fehon said the search operation had expanded.

“We are appealing for anyone who saw any people or vehicles in the vicinity of Benaroon Drive or in the Kendall township on Friday to contact police,” Superintendent Fehon said.

“We are not ruling out any possibilities, investigators are exploring every possible avenue of inquiry.

Specially trained investigators from the State Crime Command experienced in the unexplained disappearances of young children are providing support to the many other police, emergency services workers and members of the public involved in the search for William Tyrell.william 11

“Search teams are going back over all areas, including dams and waterways, today.

“There are hundreds of people on the ground who are searching for William, as well as resources on land and in the air, on horseback, trail bikes and 4WD and we still haven’t found him yet

“As a consequence we are making this appeal for any information from the public. “

Strike Force Rossann was established to investigate the disappearance and is based at Port Macquarie. It comprises investigators from Mid North Coast and Manning Great Lakes local area commands as well as personnel from State Crime Command and Forensic Services Group.

Police resources included local police from Mid North Coast and Manning Great Lakes local area commands, Public Order and Riot Squad, Police Mounted Unit, Police Dog Unit, Aviation Support Unit, Trail and Bike Squad,

Also involved in the search are Ambulance Paramedics, fire fighters from Fire & Rescue NSW and Rural Fire Service volunteers, SES volunteers and community members from across NSW who have been moved by William’s disappearance.
