Karuah Roos lost, but have one more chance for Grand Final

A DISAPPOINTING day for players and supporters alike with the Roos starting this weeks game like they were not ready to play, while on the other hand Williamtown certainly were ready, and soon racked up a score of 22-6 by half time. Karuah Rugby League

A huge effort was needed for the Roos to get back into the game and Ryan Saunders was the man to get it started with a 30 metre run, mowing the defenders down as he trampled his way across the line.

The Roos came storming back into the contest with 2 more tries to tie the score at 22 all with 10 minutes to go.

Unfortunately the Roos slow start left them at the mercy of a couple of questionable calls which sealed their fate with Williamtown taking out the game 26 –22.

A brave game from Ben Bradley, who took the ball up all day while carrying an injury.

Big defensive efforts from Captain /Coach Dwayne Fleming, Daniel Evans and Aaron Tull who tackled anything that moved.

Jackson Page pulled off some big shots and Mitch Napier with some brilliant 1 on 1 tackles.

Tries to Ryan Saunders, Ben Bradley and 2 to Tyson Jolly with Josh Page kicking 3 goals.

The Roos now will regroup and meet Clarence Town at Lakeside, 10 am this Saturday, for what will be a knock-out game.

This will be their final chance to get to the grand final.

The Roos would like to offer our Sympathy and prayers to Peter & Jo Cobb and family on the loss of Peter’s mum.
