A man was charged with breaching his AVO after allegedly threatening a woman with a knife in Hawks Nest.
Police said at about 2pm on Saturday, January 3 they attended a domestic dispute between a 40-year-old female and a 35-year-old male from Hawks Nest.
Information received was that the female was seeking refuge at a neighbour’s house after being threatened with a knife.
Upon arrival police arrested the male and conveyed him to Raymond Terrace Police Station.
It was confirmed the pair were both before a Queensland court on December 16 2014 where an Apprehended Violence Order was granted against the male
As a result the male was charged with breach AVO, intimidation and assault.
He was bail refused.
