Ellie Gooch and Karl Price from Bulahdelah Central School have been awarded a Minister’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement.
These awards recognise the students’ outstanding achievements throughout their high school years, and how they have demonstrated the core values of NSW public schools.
Includes integrity, excellence, respect, responsibility, cooperation, care, fairness and democracy.
There are usually only up to 40 awards presented across NSW so to have two of our students receive this outstanding accolade is a great honour to Ellie and Karl as well as the school.
Ellie and Karl are terrific young adults and are a credit to their parents, their teachers and their community, all of whom provided them with guidance, encouragement and support over many years.
Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead has congratulated local recipients of the 2015 Minister’s and Secretary’s Awards, which cover a range of categories for outstanding contributions to public education.
The awards were presented at a ceremony held in NSW Parliament House.
“These awards acknowledge significant achievements within public education and affirm the high standards we have in our public schools,” Mr Bromhead said.
“It’s fantastic to see this recognition of the exceptional work being done in our local schools.”
Mr Bromhead has congratulated the local recipients.
These annual awards are administered by the Public Education Foundation.
