‘GIRLS Night In’ Fundraiser will be held at Karuah RSL Club on Saturday 27th Sept 2014. Doors open at 6.30pm.
Organiser Olivia Hurst said, “I held Cancer Councils ‘Girls Nights In’ before having our 3 beautiful children, then moving onto fundraising for Down Syndrome since having Levi.
“Since the Down Town Ball is a Bi Annual event I was looking to do a fundraiser on a smaller level this year,” Olivia said.
Cancer council ‘Girls Nights In’ raises awareness and funds for all women’s cancers and at some point in our lives unfortunately this will more than likely affect someone in our family or friends.
The Karuah RSL Club is holding the event and making a generous donation on the night.
The night will carry a pink theme, with special pink cocktails for sale on the night.
There will also be ten different market stalls including Homewares, Jewellery, Skincare, Make-up, Linen & Bedding, Yummy Chocolate/Lollies, Handmade Gifts, Kids Clothing, Candles & Cooking Seasonings & Spices.
“We will also have a Chinese buffet dinner with tea and coffee. Music to dance the night away, raffle prizes to the value of over $400 and fun games to play,” Olivia said.
Tickets are for sale at Karuah Pharmacy & Pelican Pest Control Office in Tea Gardens.
A courtesy bus to the event will pick up guests from Hawks Nest community Hall at 5.30pm, the bus stop at Pelican Pest Control office at 5.45pm, the bus stop opposite Coles Supermarket at 5.55pm.
